These alignment cores
are used in green-sand and air set molding. They are reversible and
fit perfectly into each print on both the cope and drag sides. On
our alignment prints we have included an extra 1/8" height to serve
as a sand trap. Additionally, we have designed an extra sand trap
ring on the outside wall at the parting. This creates a space to collect
the sand that rubs off during the mold closing. Similar to our Cope
& Drag Inserts, these sand trap rings at
the parting are absolutely necessary for No-Bake and Airset molding.

Our alignment
coreprints are made out of A.B.S. plastic. They match on a 1/2" dia.
center pin with a screw hole going through the center for mounting.
The 3.5" dia. prints are designed for mounting two ways. The first
option is to use the 1/2" dia. center pin. The second option is to
use the two screw holes adjacent to the center pin. If it is necessary
to mount the 2.5" print off the center pin, we recommend drilling
two holes in the top of print from the backside.

For each size of our alignment coreprints, we have a specially
designed two-cavity corebox. Also now available are Gang Coreboxes, which are a set of indentical corebox haves that are
split horizontally creating extra space for cores. This improved design provides either thirteen 2.5" dia. or seven 3.5"
dia. seamless cores. We also have a thirteen cavity corebox for our 2.5A Cope & Drag Insert Prints.
